About Restylane® Lyft and Restylane® Silk
Restylane, Restylane® Lyft and Restylane® Silk are hyaluronic acid-based fillers used to treat moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. These products come in an assortment of formulations to suit the varying needs of patients. Restylane Lyft uses larger hyaluronic acid particles and is better suited for deeper injection. Restylane Silk is a new small particle hyaluronic acid filler. Its refined formulation makes it especially well-suited for precise lip shaping and for smoothing lines around the mouth.
Areas Treated
Restylane, Restylane® Lyft and Restylane® Silk are primarily used around the nose and mouth, including nasolabial folds, marionette lines. With its larger hyaluronic particles Restylane Lyft is well-suited to deep volumizing including the midface cheeks and temples. Restylane Silk is designed specifically to add natural looking volume to the lips, and to smooth lines around them. Restylane is also indicated for adding volume and improving the contour of the lips. At our dermatology practice, Restylane Silk is an exceedingly popular choice for individuals considering lip injections in the Miami area.
Side Effects
The most typical side effects are related to irritation around the injection site and may include swelling, redness, tenderness, or bruising. These are generally mild and short-lived.
