Christopher O’Connell, MD
Dr. O’Connell is a board-certified Miami cosmetic and medical dermatologist who specializes in the health and beauty of his patients’ skin. He graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a bachelor’s degree at Vanderbilt University. He received his medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.
Dr. O’Connell did both his internal medicine internship and dermatology residency training at Columbia University’s St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City. During his years at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt, he worked at their renowned Skin of Color Center and gained significant experience in the diagnosis and management of dermatologic disease of ethnic skin.
A respected dermatologist in Miami and beyond, Dr. O’Connell has published in the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology and Pediatric Dermatology. He has lectured in both professional and public forums and is active in clinical research for new therapies to address aging skin. In addition, Dr. O’Connell has a special interest in allergic contact dermatitis and offers patch testing to evaluate people with chronic skin allergies.
